Teaching Endorsement – CCU | The Teaching Endorsement in Celebrating CulTUral Uniqueness will empower participants to foster an inclusive environment in the classroom by examining their own course and syllabus design as well as some classroom behaviors. Through videos, readings, and discussions with colleagues, faculty will engage in relevant and new material to ensure that the tangible skills they’ve begun to learn through CCU workshops can be used in the classroom. All participants will leave the course with skills to help them continue to reevaluate their courses to better serve TU students. This is a two-week asynchronous course in Moodle with 1 discussion and 1-2 activities each week. Successful completion will earn you an electronic teaching endorsement from the Center for Faculty Support & Teaching Innovation that you can use as part of your professional portfolio. Participants must have completed the initial CCU full-year training before taking this Teaching Endorsement. | Date & Time: TBD Location: Moodle Facilitator: Dr. Julia Porter Register here. |
Teaching Endorsement – Tiffin Teaching Reflection Seminar | This Teaching Endorsement in the power of reflection on teaching will use a semi-structured and guided process to reflect on, analyze, and make meaning of the last four semesters of teaching and the feedback we’ve received from our students, colleagues and leadership. The format is based on a research methodology (Little, Caulkins, Kaldor & Wheeler 2021) that includes an iterative process of reflection, analysis, and meaning-making at the individual, paired, and group levels. This is a two-week asynchronous course in Moodle with 1 discussion and 1-2 activities each week. Successful completion will earn you an electronic teaching endorsement from the Center for Faculty Support & Teaching Innovation that you can use as part of your professional portfolio. Faculty completing their second full year at TU are especially invited to participate, but faculty of any level of experience will gain some insights by going through this process. | Date & Time: TBD Location: Moodle Facilitator: Stacey Floyd Register here. |
